Playground assessment update for DLBC Regulated DWS License Exempt Programs

The inspection process for child care programs receiving approval for Department of Workforce Services (DWS) license exempt status, under the Utah Division of Licensing and Background Checks (DLBC), has been adjusted to reflect required assessment to playground rules in order to comply with federal Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) requirements.
Updates to the playground inspection include:

Inspection of all playgrounds regardless of program ownership and maintenance (e.g., school district) of the playground.
Assessment of protection of children from any hazard, body of water, and/or vehicular traffic.

The updates to the inspection process can be viewed by accessing the updated checklist on dlbc.utah.gov.
